The Grace Place Difference

We call ourselves The Grace Place. The Grace Place is a place where you can find acceptance vs. rejection and hope vs. despair. The Bible tells us that God's grace accepts us as we are. As God's "body" (the church), we can do nothing less. God has called The Grace Place to be a place of healing, hope and help to those who have experienced rejection and failure in their lives. Jesus said He came to offer the hope of the Gospel to sinners - not to the self-righteous.

Unity vs. Uniformity

At The Grace Place, we are focused on our oneness in Christ. To be united does not require uniformity. Uniformity demands that we all think alike, act alike and look alike. Unity comes by uniting around a common cause and working toward a common goal. That cause and goal is the fulfilling of Christ's great command to go into our community and world declaring His message of salvation and making disciples. As a result, we are focused on the issues which unite the Body of Christ instead of those issues over which the Body of Christ has been divided for centuries.

We do not believe God is glorified by static ministries. When the church is making a positive impact in the community, Christ is glorified and the Kingdom is advanced. We believe that Spirit-led planning is an act of faith, and the plans we have developed are God's road map for our future. As a result of our plans and strategies, God has rewarded our faith with significant ministry development already. The Grace Place faces the future with a sense of anticipation of greater blessings ahead.

Excellence vs. Mediocrity

Excellence honors Christ and captures the attention of non-churched people. The Grace Place is in the service of the Eternal King! He is worthy of our best efforts. We may not hit the mark of excellence every time but we continue to improve so Christ may be glorified through our lives and the ministry of His Church. Someone has said , "Holy shoddy is still shoddy". God has called The Grace Place to the most important task in the world - the declaring and demonstrating of His grace to this community. That calls us to excellence!!
